Juanita’s Story

JuanitaJuanita has worked in the fields as a migrant farmworker since she was a child. During an outreach visit to her labor camp from an ABLE advocate, she learned about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. With ABLE’s help, Juanita applied for and received DACA approval. She has now left the fields and found a full-time job with excellent pay and benefits and plans to attend college. ABLE is currently helping Juanita apply for a DACA renewal so she can continue to pursue her dreams of self-sufficiency and a brighter future.

In Juanita’s words, “ABLE has provided me with legal help that has changed my life.”
